Here, you are truly in good company—of food, coffee and conversation.
I visited In Good Co. on a Saturday evening, when the café was buzzing with life. The hum of conversations mingled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, instantly revealing its popularity among people looking to slow down over a good meal or drink.
The space feels designed for everyone: readers tucked into corners with books, groups of friends catching up, solo diners enjoying their own company, and professionals quietly working through the evening.
The menu is equally expansive. Coffee sits alongside matcha, hojicha, teas, iced teas and even protein milkshakes, while sandwiches, small bites and an indulgent dessert selection complete the offering. With so many choices, the only sensible thing to do was try a little bit of everything.
A Sulaimani Iced Tea That Stole the Show
I began with a classic cappuccino, served with two crisp palmier cookies. Their sweetness complemented the bitterness of the coffee.
Soon after arrived two more dishes—a Sulaimani Iced Tea and the Badam Halwa Croissant.
The iced tea announced itself with the warm fragrance of cinnamon and clove. The word Sulaimani comes from Arabic, translating to "a man of peace." The tea itself travelled to India's Malabar coast through centuries of Arab trade before becoming a regional favourite.
In Good Co.'s chilled version stays true to those flavours. Garnished with star anise and cinnamon, it carries the comforting warmth of masala chai despite being served over ice. It was easily one of the most memorable drinks of the evening.
Badam Halwa Gets a French Makeover
In Good Co.'s menu is built around giving familiar Indian flavours a contemporary café treatment.
You'll find baked kheer pudding, rasmalai cheesecake, a rajma galouti and mozzarella sandwich, and the Badam Halwa Croissant that landed on my table.
I already love badam halwa. I love croissants. Together? Even better.
The warm, flaky croissant enclosed a generous filling of melt-in-the-mouth badam halwa, while sliced almonds added texture on top. Rich without becoming overwhelming, this is the dessert to order if you're in the mood for something comforting with a twist.
Bread Takes Centre Stage
Avocado toast may have become one of the city's favourite café breakfasts, and I was curious to see In Good Co.'s version.
The toast leaned decisively towards Indian flavours. Pepper and crunchy salted boondi dominated the plate, occasionally overshadowing the subtle creaminess of the avocado. Personally, I would have liked the avocado to take centre stage just a little more, though the Indian flavours made the first bite more scintillating.
While I was eating, I noticed pencils, sharpeners and grid-lined tissue sheets placed on the tables. They're there for guests to doodle or play simple games. Three friends nearby were deeply engrossed in a game of tic-tac-toe. For anyone craving a brief digital detox, it's a thoughtful addition.

They Know Their Sandwiches
The Malai Mushroom Focaccia Sandwich soon followed, accompanied by a simple bowl of dressed greens.
I've always believed that if a café pays attention to its salad, it's a good one. This one did exactly that. The vegetables were lightly dressed, fresh and restrained enough not to compete with the main attraction.
The sandwich itself was excellent. Creamy malai-coated mushrooms were balanced rather than heavy, while the focaccia was perfectly baked, soft inside with just the right amount of chew.
The Signature Brew Worth Returning For
It was time for another drink.
In Good Co.'s signature coffee menu features four personalities: The Optimist, The Conversationalist, The Romantic and The Indulgent.
I chose The Indulgent.
With notes of rum, molasses, raisins and dark chocolate, it turned out to be the standout item of my visit. None of the flavours overpowered the others. Instead, each revealed itself gradually with every sip, the richness of chocolate, the sweetness of molasses, the fruity depth of raisins and the unmistakable character of coffee coming together in remarkable balance.
This was easily my favourite order of the evening.
Tea, Coffee and Chocolate in One Cup
Before leaving, I squeezed in one final drink: the Hojicha Mocha.
This was a first for me.
Tea. Coffee. Chocolate. Three familiar flavours brought together in a single cup.
Each sip opened with the roasted, earthy character of hojicha before giving way to chocolate and coffee, which gradually took over the palate.
Did I immediately fall in love with it? I could not decide.
Would I recommend trying it? Absolutely.
Some drinks are memorable precisely because they challenge your expectations, and this is one of them.
Long after I left, the aftertaste of In Good Co. remained.
Almost every dish reflected careful thought and a willingness to experiment without losing sight of comfort. Familiar Indian flavours found new expressions across the menu, making the café feel both inventive and approachable. Combined with warm hospitality, thoughtful details and an inviting atmosphere, it delivers the kind of experience that encourages you to stay just a little longer.
