Safari in Kaziranga National Park, Assam

Hosting a huge variety of wildlife species, the Kaziranga National Park can be a treat for all the animal lovers. The park comprises the largest population of Indian one horned rhinoceros. People are also likely to come across tigers, different species of eagle, pythons, elephants and a lot more. Lying on the flood plains of Brahmaputra River, this place in Assam has forests, wetlands and grasslands proving it to be an ideal place for wildlife encounters. People can either opt for jeep safari or the elephant to explore the jungle of Kaziranga. Kurseong Hill station, West Bengal

Located in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, this small town experiences satisfying cool climate throughout the year. Kurseong is connected by the Darjeeling Mountain railway providing an excellent oppurtunity to explore the mesmerising panorama of the valley from the toy train. Surrounded by dense forest, Kurseong is popular for its orchid gardens and tea plantations on the other hand infamous for the haunting experiences in the woods. Travellers can go for short hikes through the misty hills of the place and stroll across the tea plantations while interacting with the locals.

Scuba Diving at Netrani Island, Karnataka

The coral island in the Arabian Sea can be the perfect spot for every adventurer who is searching for a thrilling start of the year. Companies conducting diving in the Netrani Island can be easily found in Goa and Murdeshwara in Karnataka. With diverse marine life, the scuba divers can encounter a huge variety of butterfly fish, trigger fish, shrimps and even whale sharks. Snorkelers have even shared their experience witnessing orcas. Mount Abu, Rajasthan

Set among the Aravalli Range, Mount Abu is known as the &lsquoOasis in the Desert&rsquo. The place is home to evergreen forest, rivers and waterfalls. It is the only hill station in Rajasthan and a popular attraction for the people in search of ancient Indian culture. The city is famous for its white marble temples constructed around 11th century and Achalgarh Fort built during the 14th century. The sun paints the sky with vibrant colours at dusk and people admire the view from Mount Abu.

Jaipur Literature Festival, Rajasthan

Jumping to the beats of music or spending time learning the Indian and International literature, the Diggi palace is here with the 12th edition of Jaipur Literature Fest. Raising the spirits of music, the festival has announced their artist line up with DubFX, Jasbir Jassi , Nooran sisters and &nbspKutle Khan being their &nbspheadliners. Beginning on 24th January the festival will last till the 28th offering five days to rave and party. Get ready for a musical tour from some of the renowned artists across the globe.
