Explore Ritwik Ghatak's Cinema

Sign up for a talk on the folk and religious iconographies in modern Bengali cinema, with a special focus on Ritwik Ghatak’s Subarnarekha (1965). The talk will be by renowned Ritwik Ghatak scholar and author Sanjoy Mukhopadhyay. Having headed the department of Film Studies at Jadavpur University for more than eight years, Mukhopadhyay is also known for his critical discourse on cultural modernity.
