Zero cancellation charges by SpiceJet

OT Staff

SpiceJet has introduced zero cancellation services for passengers for all domestic flights. You can now cancel your flights 24 hours prior to the date of travel and get full reimbursement without any hassle. The service aims to offer significant flexibility and cost savings for flyers.

The airline has collaborated with Liberty General Insurance (LGI) for the service which was introduced following Supreme Court orders and keeping the interests of both the airline company and flyers in mind.

Flyers opting for this insurance can easily get the cancellation charges reimbursed in case they are unable to fly due to any unavoidable circumstances.

Upon making a payment and successfully booking a flight, customers will be provided with the policy certificate by LGI. The insurance facilities can be availed on the SpiceJet website where one can pay an additional fee and add the insurance cover while booking the flight ticket.

Tickets booked not beyond 90 days in advance are eligible for this service. The sum insured in the event of a ticket cancellation is Rs5,000. The premium for a single passenger on a single flight booking will vary anywhere between Rs399 for bookings made in advance of a minimum of seven days to Rs643 for a maximum of 30-90 days.
