One App To Travel Around Delhi

In a move which would significantly ease the use of public transportation in New Delhi, the state government has announced the launch of a common mobility app, One Delhi. The tool promises users an efficient journey. With the ability to plan your trip on the Delhi Metro and all the city buses, this is the Delhi government's first step to improve accessibility and reliability of the national capital's transportation system.

Avoid the constant chatter of traffic and enjoy a hassle-free journey with the One Delhi App. Plan out your routes by judging your estimated time of arrival (ETA) of buses and metro. This is part of the larger, more extensive Connect Delhi project where the aim is to make public transportation the preferred mode of travel in the national capital. Further developments to the app are expected in order to make the features user-friendly. Recharge of One Card and integrated multi-modal journey planning across buses and metro are future additions expected from the app.

The Delhi government is gearing up its effort to encourage the use of public buses. It currently is in the process of adding 3,000 new buses into the current fleet of buses roaming the streets of the national capital. This is another addition under the Connect Delhi initiative where the government's vision of connecting every village and colony of Delhi with a reliable bus service within 500 meters walking distance.
