The Season of Dance Arrives in Mumbai

Your craze of treating the eyes with the classical harmony of the body movements has been taken care by the city of dreams. The National Centre for Performing Arts is turning the mega city into a dance hub with event locations spreading across the city. With the magic of dance in the air, people are likely to flaunt their signature moves around the city. The Sunken Garden will bear witness to the grand inauguration of the event on 13th January showcasing some vibrant folk dances of India. The festival which is scheduled to last till February 17th will encounter some popular dance veterans sharing their experiences and views on folk dance through workshops, panel discussions, lectures and lot more. There are dance sessions at schools, NGOs, old age homes and dance schools enlightening the youths about the classical dance forms. Started in 1969, the 50th edition of the festival will offer the stage to new talents of the country promoting the artists.
