OT Staff

Kerala has yet again won our travelling hearts. Standing tall and strong even after the devastating flood, Kerala is all ready to host the biennial meet of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) in Kochi from September 27-30. The inaugural session will be held at Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty. Post inauguration, the event will move to Samudrika and Sagara Convention Centre at the Willingdon Island.

During the event the state government will launch Malabar River Cruise project that will incorporate nine rivers in Kerala. Subjects like rainwater harvesting, reduction of the use of plastic and conservation of the forest cover of the state will be of utmost importance. Kerala, God own country, is still one of the most favoured places to visit in India, thanks to its beautiful geagraphy, tea and coffee plantations, hills and backwaters. Post flood the road connectivity has resumed and we all can hope to see busy tourist season in Kerala in no time.

Back in July, Kerala experienced one of the worst floods in the state's history. With hundreds of lives lost, properties damaged and areas isolated due to landslides, Kerala faced quite a challenge. Tourist hotspot like Wayanad was severely affected by the landslide.
