The fashion designer recalls her college days in New York and her love for this cosmopolitan city

Author : OurTeam

My love affair with New York goes back to the times when I was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). I love the cosmopolitan feel of that place. I always go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art &mdash I won&rsquot say I draw from it but it does do something to me. My husband is American. so we travel to NYC very often. And when we do, we definitely visit two places &mdash one is the Food Hall at the Plaza Hotel and the other is the Sunday Service at St Patrick&rsquos Cathedral. And then there&rsquos the Chelsea flea market &mdash I went there all the time as a student and often go back.

Even with an empty pocket, I&rsquom telling you, look hard enough and you will find something nice at Chelsea. Since I love shopping, I also go to Anthropologie every day I'm there, even though I retail from there as well.

I can smell New York. It&rsquos in my veins
