OT Favourite hotel in the world

Amitabh Bachchan My favourite holiday destinations are London and Switzerland. In London, I prefer staying at the St James' Court, which is five minutes from Buckingham Palace.

But one place that has blown me away is The Venetian Resort and Hotel (from US$205 venetianmacao.com) in Macau. I love style and have reached an age where comfort is a necessity. And the Venetian is an ideal blend of both.

OT The experience

Amitabh Bachchan Extremely plush, royal and luxurious I stayed in a suite that has an area of 2,000 sq-ft or so, with 12 bays. I was joking with the staff that they might as well give me a golf cart to move around in that suite I am told that it is the largest single-structure hotel in Asia. It is not hard to believe that, since it has the largest casino in the world and it is possible to ride a gondola within its premises, which I did. It&rsquos been a while since I felt so genuinely pampered.

OT The USP

Amitabh Bachchan A property or enterprise such as this one runs on the sheer strength of character of the people who manage it. One can tell that the people who are in charge of running the place are extremely sincere about their work &mdash just their smile when they greet you reveals this. I came across some of the most heartfelt and genuine expressions of delight at the Venetian.
