Kahwa at an Igloo Cafe in Kashmir

OT Staff

When you next visit Kashmir, don&rsquot forget to have a cup pf coffee or kahwa at the new Igloo Cafe in Gulmarg. It's a dream come true for all those who have read about igloo cafes and have them on their bucketlist.

Hotelier and owner of Kolahoi Green Group of Hotels and Resorts, Wasim Shah, had seen such cafes in countries like Canada, Finland and Switzerland. He came up with the idea of introducing one in Gulmarg.

This is supposed to be India&rsquos first igloo cafe. It is spread across 22 feet (width) and 12.5 feet (height). The ice here is an insulator that keeps the interiors warm.

Surrounded by snow at all hours, the cafe can host 16 guests in four sets of tables and chairs. You can visit for lunch, dinner or tea. We recommend you visit at night when the interiors are luminous. Check it out here.
