Bandipur National Park

Bandipur National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in India, covering over 860 sq. km. Located in Chamarajnagar, it was declared a tiger reserve under "Project Tiger" in 1973. The park is home to a variety of endangered species such as the Indian elephant, sloth bear, Royal Bengal tiger, and more. In addition, the lush green forests contain an abundance of timber trees like teak, rosewood, and Indian Kino. The park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with over 200 species such as peafowl, grey jungle fowl, hawk-eagles, and serpent eagles. The Kabini river flows to the north of the park, while the Moyar river flows in the southern region.

Nagarhole National Park

Bandipur National Park is about 75km from Mysuru airport and almost the same distance from the city's railway station. The park is a little over 200km by road from Bengaluru.

Nagarhole National Park is about 95km from Mysuru airport and about 90km from Mysuru railway station. It is about 220km from Bengaluru by road.

Bannerghatta National Park is about 70km from Bengaluru airport and about 30km from Bengaluru railway station. The park is closed to visitors on Tuesdays.
