A homestay in Darjeeling hills

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the orange plantations surrounding these quaint homestays near Mirik in West Bengal

Author : OurTeam

Set four kilometres outside Mirik, Rangbhang doesn&rsquot offer the usual trappings of the Darjeeling hills &mdash Kanchendzonga view, lakeside walks, shopping, restaurants, tea estates, toy train or the Teesta. In their stead, Rangbhang suggests delicate moments of quaintness. Located amidst acres of orange plantations, the village is home to the Gurung community, most of whom are followers of Kabir Panth, a way of life envisaged by the fifteenth-century poet and saint. The two homestays, featuring three tastefully decorated rooms, are charming instances of a different way of life. Meals are vegetarian but delightfully appetising.
