Plan an escape to Auroville for a retreat designed especially for families, where parents and children can discover and do things together. The facilitators come from around the world, people who have settled in Auroville, and offer classes in various skills such as horse riding, painting, theatre, games, dance, Central Asian cuisine, and more some of which are meant for kids alone and some that the family does together. Extras like star-gazing, nature walks, and walks around Auroville are thrown in as well. Auroville itself is cocooned in green and rustic surroundings, with paths running between stretches of woods on either side. The retreat is a great introduction to what the commune is all about.
