It&rsquos the 150th birth anniversary of Ireland&rsquos first, and well-loved, Nobel laureate William Butler Yeats, and a year-long programme of cultural and artistic events, called Yeats 2015, is being organised at this scenic British isle. There will be a series of exhibitions, performances, festivals, concerts, readings, talks and screenings through the year. The programme has Sligo, Galway and Dublin, central to Yeats&rsquo work, as key locations. Moreover, June 13 will be celebrated as Yeats Day with a weekend of music and poetry at the National Concert Hall, theatre and dance performances at national arts festivals, and events highlighting literature and poetry at distinguished venues such as Dublin&rsquos National Library, Galway&rsquos City Museum, and the British Library in London. Yeats Trails will take in a boat tour around the Isle of Innisfree and a visit to his graveside in a Drumcliff churchyard. The festival is an indication of the enduring legend of Yeats (www.ireland.com).
