Get Ready To Celebrate Art And Culture At The North East Festival

After a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic, Delhi&rsquos most awaited North East Festival is back to celebrate the food, crafts, and culture of the northeast in the capital city. The festival is scheduled to take place from December 23, to 26 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

Since its inception in 2013, the festival has&nbspcontributed towards a significant rise in attracting tourism in the northeastern states by sensitising people to the rich cultural heritage that the region holds. This year the North East Festival will have a Make In North East Exhibition showcasing the various handloom and crafts, organic food, agro-horti processing products, and the products of various self help groups, farmers, weavers, and entrepreneurs form the region.

Along with culture, food, entrepreneurship, costumes, regional art forms, and languages will be celebrated in the festival, which adds to its diversity and vibrancy. 

In the event line-up, dance performances and musical concerts will be a highlight. 

There will also be a fashion show where you can experience voguish designs from designers of the region featuring local fabrics and designs on models from the states. 

The festival is a treat to a photographer&rsquos eyes who can capture the various colours of it along with taking part in  the art and photography exhibitions. 

Ever-enthusiastic food lovers should not miss out on this festival that promises to give your palette a taste of local northeastern cuisines that will make your heart long for more. Expect warming dim sums, momos, thupkas, singju, and masor tenga, and much more.
