Kizhunna Ezhara Beach, Kerala

Kizhunna Ezhara, an amalgamation of twin beaches, Kizhunna and Ezhara, is one of the less-explored beaches in Kerala. Located about 12 kilometres from Kannur town, this crimson beach boasts a rocky shore with shallow natural coves that offer a perfect spot for swimming. The coastline has a row of coconut trees, which add to its picturesque setting. 

Astaranga Beach, Odisha

Located close to Puri, Astaranga is a fishing village that remains relatively undiscovered by tourists. It gets its name from combining two words - 'Asta' and 'Ranga,' signifying 'sunset' and 'colour', respectively. This denotes the allure of a colourful sunset, making the beach an ideal spot to see the sunsets. 

Chandipur Beach, Odisha

The beach is known for its low tides, resulting in an extraordinary phenomenon where the water recedes up to 5 kilometres. It leads to a vast sea bed for visitors to walk upon. This unique characteristic offers a fascinating experience and contributes to the beach's distinct biodiversity. The area is a habitat for various endangered species, such as horseshoe crabs, starfish, and sea urchins. However, due to its muddy waters, it is not suitable for bathing.

On some days, you might even be treated to dolphins frolicking in the waters nearby.

Ottinene Beach, Karnataka

Located between Byndoor and Bhatkal in coastal Karnataka, this secluded beach is a photographer's paradise. To reach here, one must descend the steps of the hillock near the Someshwara Temple, leading to a rare and striking shoreline surrounded by greenery. Apart from the picturesque setting, the beach offers a sight of the estuary, where the Sumana River merges into the vast expanse of the Arabian Sea.
