Recently, she explored the lanes of Kedarnath, the holy shrine in Uttarakhand, where she shot her debut movie "Kedarnath" in 2018­. Sharing a snippet of her journey, the 28-year-old actor justified the essence of experiential travel by walking through the less-explored corners in and around the holy shrine. Earlier this year, Khan prayed at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain while promoting her film "Zara Hatke, Zara Bachke." However, her visit sparked criticism from some who believed that, as a Muslim from her father's side, she should not be participating in temple rituals. In response to the backlash, the actor stated that she approaches her visits to temples and Gurdwaras with the same devotion as when visiting a Dargah or the Mahakal temple.

Prayed At Ajmer Sharif In Rajasthan

This year, Khan also offered prayers at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan while promoting her movie "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke," alongside Vicky Kaushal. Dressed in an ethnic outfit, the actor was spotted tying a thread to a wall at the dargah. The actor has been a frequent visitor to the shrine. In 2021, Khan spent some time at the renowned Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam. Clad in a white kurta and the traditional Assamese gamosa, the 28-year-old offered prayers to Kamakhya Devi.
