The Next Chapter Of The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants Will Be Hosted In This Port City

The S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna-sponsored World's 50 Best Restaurants will be back on the road in 2019. The annual gastronomic meeting will be held in the port city of Valencia on Spain's south-eastern coast in June 2023 after moving back to London this year when the original Moscow destination was cancelled due to political unrest.

Foodies, you must head out to Valencia in the summer of next year to enjoy some Mediterranean sunshine and excellent cuisine.&nbspAs evidenced by its distinctive dishes, this area cherishes and loves its cuisine culture. The Albufera rice-growing region, which is located just south of the city, is the source of the famed paella.&nbspRenowned Valencian chef Quique Dacosta oversees his eponymous flagship restaurant (named in the 2022 edition of the event) along the coast in D&eacutenia, but also has a range of stellar dining destinations in the city itself.

The third-largest city in Spain will host renowned chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary stars from around the world as well as foodies seeking a unique gastronomic experience. The much-anticipated annual ranking will be revealed at the gala awards ceremony, at a red-carpet event in the stunning City of Arts and Sciences architectural complex. Their flagship series of culinary events will be held throughout Valencia's city, region, and province.

The 50 Best programme will also include an episode of the thought-leadership forum #50BestTalks as well as a training session for aspiring chefs and culinary students in the area that will feature some of the most renowned thinkers in the food industry. And a series of 50 Best Signature Sessions, where top chefs work with the best neighbourhood restaurants to create one-night-only dining experiences, will take place in Valencia in addition to the awards presentation.

Valencia, which was built on old, mostly Roman roots, has embraced modernism unlike many other European nations, and its preference for the avant-garde in architecture and design has led to its designation as the World Design Capital 2022. The City of Arts and Sciences, a remarkable collection of structures designed by local boy-turned-international-architect Santiago Calatrava and including a futuristic planetarium, enormous aquarium, scientific museum, opera house, and cultural centre, embodies this hunger.
