Day 1: Tbilisi

Morning

Start your trip from the capital, Tbilisi. Visit the Narikala Fortress, an ancient fortress overlooking Tbilisi and stroll through the Old Town, known for its narrow streets, colourful houses, and vibrant atmosphere.

Afternoon

Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the Bridge of Peace for stunning views of Tbilisi. Later, enjoy traditional Georgian cuisine for lunch with khachapuri and khinkali.

Evening

Relax at the sulfur baths located in the Abanotubani district and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants in Old Town. Make sure to try the Georgian wine.

Day 2: Mtskheta

Morning

Drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Visit the Jvari Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site offering panoramic views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers.

Afternoon

Explore the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO site and one of Georgia's most important religious buildings. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants in Mtskheta.

Evening

Return to Tbilisi and explore Rustaveli Avenue for shopping or cultural events. It's 1.5 kilometres long and starts at Freedom Square, connecting to Kostava Street at the Rustaveli metro.

Day 3: Kazbegi National Park

Morning

Drive to Kazbegi National Park, surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. Hike or take a jeep tour to Gergeti Trinity Church for breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek.

Afternoon

Take a trip to Dariali Gorge and Gveleti Waterfall, and enjoy lunch at a local guesthouse in Stepantsminda.

Evening

Enjoy the scenic drive back to Tbilisi. The main natural feature of Tbilisi's landscape is its mountainous terrain: wherever you go, you will see mountains all around you.

Day 4: Kakheti

Morning

Head to Georgia's famous wine region, Kakheti, and visit the Alaverdi Monastery to learn about the traditional winemaking techniques in addition to sampling.

Afternoon

Explore Telavi town and visit Batonis Tsikhe fortress. The fortress was the main residence of the Kakhetian kings. It is a royal complex built by a series of Kakhetian kings. Later, have lunch at a local winery, tasting wines.

Evening

Visit the Tsinandali Estate and Gardens. The garden is the first European-style recreation zone in Georgia and features tall trees and indigenous flowers. Later, return to Tbilisi or stay overnight in Kakheti.

Day 5: Vardzia

Morning

Drive to Vardzia, which is a complex of cave monasteries. Once you arrive, take some time to explore the impressive cave dwellings and tunnels.

Afternoon

While returning, make sure to visit the Khertvisi Fortress, one of the oldest fortresses in Georgia and was functional throughout the Georgian feudal period. Later on, stop for lunch in Akhaltsikhe.

Evening

Return to Tbilisi and prepare for your return. Explore the local streets and markets around your lodgings and go souvenir shopping.
