Ibex Expeditions, the legendary explorer Mandip Singh Soin&rsquos company, runs deluxe Himalayan tours that span most of the Indian Himalayan states. These include a winter trek in Ladakh to watch snow leopards, a trek to Chanderkhani Pass in Kullu valley in Himachal Pradesh and the Goecha La trek in Sikkim, as well as a trek to Gangotri and beyond, and a grand overland journey in Kumaon. Ibex also organises and leads mountaineering trips in the Indian Himalaya. The walking or climbing will of course be strenuous, but everything else will be luxurious. Luxury treks come at $300-500 per person per day, and deluxe treks at $150-300, depending on trails.
