In this leg of the journey, Rency stayed at a hotel in Devprayag, took some picturesque drone shots and experienced stargazing by the Bhagirathi River.

Sharing updates from the expedition, Thomas writes:

Day 4, November 7: Mountain Biking

Night view of the sky

We noticed our camp was in a sun-shadow spot in the morning, so no sunlight reached us. We got ready, had a quick breakfast, and headed back towards Gangotri for drone footage of missed spots from yesterday. We returned to the camp, and I began cycling around noon.

Half the way was uphill, so we stopped for lunch at a roadside restaurant. The food was great, and surprisingly, I bumped into an old acquaintance who was thrilled about our expedition. He offered us a place to stay at his hotel in Devprayag. After lunch, I sped up, as the next half of the route was a smooth downhill ride.

Yogi Bhai and Ponni found a lovely campsite near Gangnani. I arrived there around 5 pm — a green meadow by the mighty Bhagirathi. In the fading sunlight, we captured drone footage and even recorded some star trails on the clear, starry night. I felt content seeing how smoothly the expedition was progressing.
