OT Staff

The beaches along the Konkan coast of Maharashtra are fast becoming popular for their variety of water and adventure sports. From jet skis and banana boats to parasailing to scuba diving, visitors have a lot of options to choose from. Now joining the list of attractions is the on-coast zipline organised at the Devgad Beach.

What and where

Go soaring along the sandy coast, watch the foam-flecked blue waves of the Arabian Sea, windmills looming large along the skyline, and more. Said to be India&rsquos first-ever on-coast zipline and Maharashtra&rsquos longest, it is being organised by Flying Konkan, a Devgad based organisation. Maharashtra Tourism official Instagram page mentions the zipline is 1,885 metre long and is at a height of 280 metre. Usually it takes half an hour to 45 minutes including getting ready for the ride. The organisers provide the different kinds of harnesses, safety backup, services of experienced trainers and staff, etc.

The zipline starts from the Devgad Windmill Garden, a picturesque destination by itself.
