Among the better-known festivals in the state are the Ziro Festival of Music (pic), Tawang Festival, Arunachal Spring Carnival, Adventure@Mechuka and the Kameng River Festival. The state is also home to over 500 different species of orchids. The tourism department is also giving a boost to eco-tourism, kayaking, whitewater rafting and treks.
