Arunachal Pradesh is gearing up to become India's premier tourist destination

Arunachal Pradesh is investing to become the adventure and exotic tourism hub of India. We are looking at a growth of 20 per cent in the next three years, said Dr Joram Beda, state Secretary of Tourism, at the Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Conclave 2017 in Delhi. Among the better-known festivals in the state are the Ziro Festival of Music (pic), Tawang Festival, Arunachal Spring Carnival, Adventure@Mechuka and the Kameng River Festival. The state is also home to over 500 different species of orchids. The tourism department is also giving a boost to eco-tourism, kayaking, whitewater rafting and treks.
