It was 5 AM when my friend Bala gently shook me awake. Still wrapped in sleep and the cold mountain air, I stumbled out of the tent as he led me by the hand, covering my eyes. “Just wait,” he whispered. And then — he lifted his hands. What I saw was unreal. We were above the clouds. A vast white sea stretched below us, still and glowing. It was the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen.
