Inspired by the landscape paintings on exhibit within the gallery, this workshop explores Benodebehari Mukherjee's pedagogical legacy. Participants will consider the historical and modern significance of sketching and outdoor exploration while examining how his early style was influenced by Chinese and Japanese scroll painting traditions. In order to encourage participants to create landscapes that are influenced by Mukherjee's stylistic approach while taking time, context, and aesthetic changes into consideration, the session ends with an outdoor drawing or painting exercise. The Museum will supply the materials. Rahul Juneja, an artist and educator who has exhibited at prestigious locations, is in charge of the workshop.
