The trail from Naggar to Rumsu passes by the Roerich Art Gallery. Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947), a Russian painter, philosopher, writer, and public figure, was nominated several times for the Nobel Peace Prize. He travelled and lived in many places before passing away in this wooden house in Naggar's small town. His son, Svetoslav Roerich, married Devika Rani, a Hindi cinema star and grandniece of Rabindranath Tagore. Devika Rani retired at the peak of her career and moved to Naggar with her husband, a painter. After Svetoslav Roerich's death, she converted their home into an art gallery. Today, the gallery houses Roerich's paintings, prints, and family memorabilia.

The nearest major airports are in Delhi and Chandigarh. You can take a bus from these places to Manali, or a taxi till Naggar. From Naggar you can either hike on a beautiful trail to Rumsu or continue on a vehicle.
