The Alang-Madan-Kulang forts, collectively known as AMK, present a thrilling challenge for experienced trekkers. Located in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, these forts provide a demanding yet rewarding expedition. The trail involves traversing steep rock faces, negotiating narrow ridges, and using ropes and harnesses for safety. The difficulty level increases during the monsoon season due to slippery surfaces. Prior trekking experience, good physical fitness, and familiarity with basic rock climbing techniques are essential for this trek. Due to their challenging terrain, it is recommended to attempt this trek during the dry months of winter, from November to February.
