Founded in 2014 by Chirag Chhajer and Ankit Gupta, Burma Burma has expanded from a single restaurant into a celebrated chain, bringing authentic Burmese flavours to India. Led by Chef Ansab Khan, the culinary team has thoroughly researched and integrated new dishes and cooking techniques from Burma, combining them with local ingredients to deliver a unique dining experience.
This special dine-in menu, available from 12 August to 30 September, 2024, honours the restaurant’s journey since its first location opened in Fort, Mumbai. Now with thirteen locations across India, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, the menu features dishes such as the Highway Meal Parcel from Yangon, Siman Thoke from Shan, and Kho Poong from Bago monasteries. Diners can enjoy distinctive beverages like Mont Let Saung and Durian Float and indulgent desserts such as Burmese Milk Tea Cheesecake and Tropical Fruit Pavlova. This celebration reflects a decade of culinary exploration and discovery.

Take Strolls In A Garden
Scattered across 15 acres, Amrit Udyan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, is the focal point of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Originally containing the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden, it has been enhanced with additional features under the leadership of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Shri Ram Nath Kovind, including Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden, and Arogya Vanam. A magnificent display of seasonal blooms, including Coleus, Celosia, and Tuberose, is promised at the Udyan Utsav 2024. A treehouse, the 225-year-old Sheesham tree, Bal Vatika, a children's garden, Nature's Classroom, and the varied flora in the Bonsai and Circular Gardens are among the new attractions. A bustling food court and ongoing exhibitions are also available to visitors. From September 12th to 15th, the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav will highlight Southern India’s vibrant cultural heritage and traditions within the enchanting setting of Amrit Udyan.

Witness A Seminar Cum Art Exhibition
A conference/public talk featuring Prof. Chiara Rostagno and Roobina Karode, Director and Chief Curator of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), will take place this weekend at the Italian Embassy Cultural Center. The relevance of horse fights in Italian and Indian art will be examined in this talk. The lecture will cover famous pieces like Tintoretto's The Battle of Zara, Paolo Uccello's The Battle of San Romano, and the Ancient Battle of Issus mosaic from Pompeii, showing how these representations reflect moral virtue, classical ideals, and the political and social contexts of their times. It will also explore how deep emotional components from Abhinava Gupta's rasa theory are embodied by themes like Karbala in Husain's writing, which go beyond the actual Battle of Karbala. Chiara Rostagno, an architect at the Italian Ministry of Culture with extensive experience in conservation and museums, including her role as Director of Leonardo's Last Supper Museum, will present alongside Roobina Karode, an esteemed art curator and critic who has led KNMA since its inception in 2010.
