Tungnath Valley

Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, the Tungnath Valley is known for its breathtaking scenic views, flora and fauna, and religious significance. The valley has been named after the Tungnath Temple, the world's highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every year, thousands of trekkers and pilgrims undertake the journey to visit the temple and seek Lord Shiva's blessings. 

The 5 km Tungnath-Chandrashila trek is also popular among adventure enthusiasts for the stunning vistas and the adrenaline-pumping journey. Although the trek is moderately difficult, with a gradual ascend, the trail gets progressively steep. Ensure to acclimatise beforehand, and carry a reusable water bottle and sunscreen. 

Sari Village

Located 20 km downhill from Chopta, Sari village's fairytale-like surroundings will enchant you. It also offers many points from where you can witness gorgeous views of the Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul peaks. For a break amidst nature, head to the tranquil Deoria Tal with a basket of snacks and spend a day enjoying the greenery around.

Bisurital

A scenic high-altitude lake situated in the arms of the Mandakini Valley, Bisurital Lake is the perfect off-roading spot. The 60 km trail that marks the Bisurital trek is also famed among passionate trekkers. On the way, ensure to stop and catch a breath along with a stunning view at Bisuri Dhar, perched at 4,100 metres above sea level. Surrounded by lush alpine meadows and snow-clad mountains, Bisurital makes for an ideal quiet getaway.
