Having borne the weight of great names, Mumbai&rsquos Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, formerly known as Victoria Terminus has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With its imposing stone dome, turrets, pointed arches, and eccentric ground plan, VT was chosen as an example of late 19^th century railway architecture in the British Commonwealth. The building, designed by the British architect F.W. Stevens, took ten years in the making and was finally complete in 1888.
