In Dialogue Across Time opens at The Ballroom, Bikaner House, New Delhi, presented by Dhoomimal Gallery. This rare exhibition brings together for the first time legendary printmaker Anupam Sud and her former student Harshdeep Kaur, showcasing their works side by side in a compelling intergenerational exchange. Sud’s intimate new watercolours, marking a departure from her acclaimed printmaking practice, are displayed in conversation with Kaur’s evocative portraits and spiritual allegories, creating a dialogue that bridges experience, mentorship, and artistic lineage.

Museo Camera, Centre for the Photographic Arts in Gurugram, is presenting Touching Light: A Prelude to the Bicentennial of Photography (1827–2027), the first exhibition in India to trace the journey of analogue photography across more than 150 years. Curated by Aditya Arya, the exhibition runs from August 23 to September 29, 2025, bringing together rare 19th-century works such as the People of India series (1850s–60s), Bourne & Shepherd’s Carte de Visite (1860s), and Beauties of Lucknow (1874), alongside the practice of 28 contemporary photographers including Ram Rahman, Rohit Chawla, Dinesh Khanna, Prashant Panjiar, Serena Chopra, and others. With contributions from both archival collections and living masters, Touching Light unfolds as a landmark tribute to photography’s pioneers and practitioners, celebrating the medium’s tactile, imperfect, and deeply human essence as the world moves towards the bicentennial of photography in 2027. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm.
