Weekend Events in Delhi | Monsoon has arrived in full swing into Delhi, bringing with it intermittent showers that leave the city looking freshly rain-washed and alive. Though the sun still makes occasional appearances and humid afternoons linger, the heat has begun to lose its grip. Puddles reflect the neon glow of streetlights, and the scent of damp earth fills the air. Against this refreshed backdrop, Delhi gears up for a vibrant weekend—pop-up restaurants, movie screenings, and musical evenings are set to take centre stage. Here's Outlook Traveller's curated list of the top events to check out in the capital this weekend.
The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi presents a coastal culinary pop-up at Seasonal Tastes, its all-day dining restaurant. Curated by Guest Chef Jagadeesh from Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Mahabalipuram, the eight-day dinner-only event celebrates the vibrant food traditions of Tamil Nadu’s Coromandel coast. Guests can expect a rotating menu of heirloom dishes and festive staples, including Madurai mutton nei sukka, Travancore roast chicken, Gongura mamsam, and Raw mango coconut fish curry. Signature biryanis like Ambur mutton and Chemmeen prawn are paired with regional rice. A live station each evening serves freshly made Appams, Kari dosas, and Kothu parathas, while vegetarian highlights include Mangalore cashew curry and Alleppey vegetable curry. Traditional desserts such as Kavuni Arisi Halwa and Elaneer payasam offer a sweet finish. Chef Amit Dash, Cluster Executive Chef, describes the showcase as a tribute to the culinary soul of Tamil Nadu—authentic, heartfelt, and rooted in tradition.

Mool presents the screening of two compelling films that delve into memory, identity, and resistance. Ruuposh, directed by Mohd. Fehmeed and Zeeshan Amir Khan, follows Ruksana Begum, her late father Mehboob Khan, and her son Mohd. Fehmeed as they navigate a fraught journey of reconnection. Through layers of nostalgia, pain, and estrangement, the documentary attempts to unearth bonds long buried beneath silence and time. The second film, Land of My Dreams by Nausheen Khan, unfolds against the backdrop of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019), which has been widely criticised for its impact on Muslims. Through intimate observation and reflective narration, the filmmaker captures the voices of protest while examining her own experiences as a Muslim woman in contemporary India.
