West Bengal 2016 Durga Puja packages from West Bengal Tourism

See how Ma Durga is welcomed and worshipped during the annual autumn festival in West Bengal

West Bengal Tourism has published its packages for the upcoming Durga Puja festival to be observed in darly October. There are separate day-long packages to cover the northern and the southern parts of the state. Two of the North Bengal Puja Packages (Package 1 covering Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar Rajbari) and (Package 2 covering Jalpaguri and a forest safari) cost Rs 1000 while Package 3 (covering Siliguri and a forest safari) costs Rs 1200. There are special Sharadotsav Packages to see the traditional celebrations in the district towns (such as Hooghly, Guskara, Surul, Kashimbazar, etc) start from Rs 2100. You can avail the Sanatani Packages to visit some of the famous traditional homes of Kolkata. Cost of these half-day packages, available both in the morning and in the afternoon, start from Rs 825 (non ac vehicle) and Rs 1045 (ac vehicle). On the main days of the festival and during the immersion, there are cruise packages starting from Rs 600. All prices mentioned are on per head basis.
