This exclusive heritage walk offers a rare opportunity to explore the Qutub Complex, delving into the art, architecture, and rich history of its monuments. As the first of its kind, this walk promises an immersive experience that transports participants away from the city’s chaos and back in time. Venture Out On An Immersive Walk

As part of the "City as Museum" series, this walk through Delhi’s Kishanganj area, led by artist and educator Shruti Sarkar, explores the city’s overlooked and uncared-for spaces, questioning what is deemed worthy of preservation. Can streets, neighborhoods, and old trees be museumized?

Having grown up in a century-old railway colony on the periphery of Shahjahanabad, Sarkar reflects on what it means to be "local"—from familiar faces and local economies to myths and shifting ecologies. This walk examines the city's "hinterland," where uneven urban development creates temporal dislocation, engaging participants in sensorial explorations through drawing, recording, mapping, and conversation. As an outcome, each participant will contribute to a mini-museum—a portable rack capturing responses to these neglected spaces—culminating in an interactive session at Mahila Park inside Kishanganj Railway Quarters.

Participants are encouraged to wear everyday clothing and bring an archival image, object, or memory that lingers from the past but no longer belongs to the present.
