Mumbai launches its own musical fountain at Bharat Van Gardens

Author : Staff Writer

Mumbai has finally found its answer to the gigantic Akshardham Temple&rsquos laser show and musical fountains in Delhi, with the recent launch of its own musical fountain at Bharat Van Gardens. In an attempt to encourage tourism in Mumbai, especially among international visitors in the coming tourist season, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has developed the Bharat Van Gardens over five acres of land across a hillock in Andheri (East). While the garden offers several features of interest, notably the rose garden and sports ground for kids, the star attraction is the massive 28m fountain jets of water that shoot up to 16m in height, perfectly synchronised to background tunes and bold laser lighting for spectacular visual effects. Visit after sundown and observe as laser beams in psychedelic greens, reds and yellows follow the lucid movements of the dancing streams of water to etch vibrant patterns into the dark night sky.
