Travellers Feel Flights are Safe, finds Survey

The survey has revealed that two out of three passengers think that flying is the safest mode of travel

According to a recent survey, more than 80% of passengers in India are most likely to travel within the country on the next flight.

According to a survey conducted by Vistara Airlines, two out of three customers feel that flying is a safe mode of travel given the circumstance.

The survey shows that travelling due to business purpose is the main source of air traffic right now, and people are taking flights to return to their homes or travelling back to the areas where they earn a livelihood.

The survey also shows that air traffic will increase in the festive season people will want to  visit their relatives and friends.

The survey, conducted between August and&nbspSeptember 2020, was responded by 4,500 Vistara customers.

Approximately 84% of the customers said they likely to travel within the county while 16% of the passengers would travel outside the country.

Around 26% of business class flyers anticipate that their next flight would be an international one.

Respondents&nbspsaid that they would start travelling to international destinations by August 2021. The top 5 international destinations on the list are Singapore, Dubai, US, UK and Thailand.

41%&nbspof the respondents said that they are planning to board their next flight by November 2020 and&nbsp63% are hopeful that the next flight they board will be by February 2020.

The survey has revealed that two out of three passengers think that flying is the safest mode of travel. The survey has pointed out the top three concerns of passengers who have started flying, quarantine requirement or other restrictions that are implemented across states, higher fares and the fear of exposure to the virus.
