Vistara To Operate Special Weekly Flights To Tokyo Starting June 16

Starting 16 June, Vistara will operate special weekly flights to Tokyo under India&rsquos travel bubble agreement with Japan. Vistara took to Twitter to make the announcement on Monday (May 10) afternoon. Vistara, a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, will operate the non-stop flight between Delhi (DEL) and Tokyo (HND) once a week.

The airline plans to use its Dreamliner aircraft, Boeing 787-9 with a luxurious three-class cabin configuration, to serve the route. Vistara inaugurated its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft just before the breakout of the global pandemic which impacted their travel last year and has been adding flights to destinations in Europe.

Vistara has taken the initiative to train its cabin crew to communicate in Japanese in order to extend the warmth of Indian hospitality to passengers flying in from Japan.

Vistara will only accept eligible customers meeting visa/entry requirements in both India and Japan, as specified by the respective government bodies on their official government websites. The airline has strongly urged their customers to fully understand these  guidelines and restrictions before making their bookings.

The booking for the flights will commence on Vistara&rsquos official website and android and iOS apps. The prices for a round trip from Delhi to Tokyo start from INR 45,094 and JPY 90,099 for a round trip from Tokyo to Delhi.

The airline firm is currently under the bubble arrangement agreed upon by the Indian government with 24 countries. 

In March, Vistara had expanded its travel bubble with non-stop flights between India and the Republic of Maldives operated by Vistara's Airbus A320neo aircraft.

In January, Vistara began operating non-stop flights between Sharjah (UAE) and Delhi as part of the air bubble agreements between India and the UAE. The airline also tied up with London on a bilateral travel agreement last year.

Just a week ago Vistara had made an announcement about rolling out vaccination drives for their staff. The firm had stated that they were tying up with hospitals and government agencies across their network and that their frontline staff is being vaccinated progressively.

Vistara is India&rsquos highest-rated airline on Tripadvisor and Skytrax. It has won several &lsquoBest Airline&rsquo awards in the bygone years. The airline is all set to become the only one to offer flyers the choice of Premium Economy cabins in addition to Business and Economy class onboard.
