Now Enjoy the Stunning Ghats from a Vistadome Coach

The Indian Railways, in its efforts to bring back the romance of railway journeys, has been adding the luxurious Vistadome coaches to trains travelling through scenic routes. The latest being the Yesvantpur Express on the South Western Railway Route, which runs through the picturesque Western Ghats.

The Vistadome coaches are fitted with glass roof, large glass windows, rotatable seats, etc. and offer wi-fi and other facilities.

According to a press release from the South Western Railways, the operation of the Vistadome coaches will start on the following dates &ndash

Train No. 06540/06539 Mangaluru Jn - Yesvantpur - Mangaluru Jn Express Special with effect from 11.07.2021 (Sunday) from Mangaluru Jn and from 17.07.2021 (Saturday) from Yesvantpur.

Train No. 06211/06212 Yesvantpur &ndash Karwar - Yesvantpur Express Special with effect from 12.07.2021 (Monday) from Yesvantpur and from 13.07.2021 (Tuesday) from Mangaluru Jn.

Train No. 06575/06576 Yesvantpur - Mangaluru Jn - Yesvantpur Express Special with effect from 13.07.2021 (Tuesday) from Yesvantpur and from 14.07.2021 (Wednesday) from Mangaluru Jn.

The sprawling Western Ghats were enlisted as a World Heritage Site in July 2012. It is considered older than the Himalayas and a critical biological diversity hotspot.
