Vietnam Extends Validity Of E-Visas

In a significant move that aims to enhance the travel experience for international tourists, Vietnam has approved an extension of the validity of e-visas. This move will ease the way for travellers seeking to explore various regions of the country, as Vietnam has gained immense popularity as a top tourist destination in recent years. Acquiring a tourist visa for Vietnam costs USD 25, with a processing time of approximately 3-4 days. With the extended validity of e-visas, travellers can now plan longer stays and take their time to fully immerse themselves in the country's vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and culinary delights.

Visa Reform Measures 

Recently, Vietnam's lawmakers in the National Assembly approved the extension of electronic visas for inbound visitors, following the government's recommendation. Effective August 1, the approved e-visa will now have a validity period of 90 days, a considerable increase from the existing 30-day duration.

More Opportunities for Indian Travellers

Previously, Indian travellers visiting Vietnam were granted electronic tourist visas for 30 days, enabling them a single entry into the country. However, with this new visa scheme, visitors will now have the opportunity to extend their stay, unlocking a world of possibilities for immersing themselves in the diverse regions of Vietnam.
