Dave&rsquos Leicester Comedy Festival is not only Europe&rsquos longest running comedy festival (now nearly a quarter of a century old in its 23rd edition), it&rsquos all set to be its most original and diverse yet with 780 performances across 60 venues in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Set in the scenic landlocked county in the English Midlands, it honours original patron and comic genius Sir Norman Wisdom this year with a play on his life, the Wisdom of a Fool. Other 2016 highlights include marquee acts like Johnny Vegas, Vic & Bob, Josie Long and Katherine Ryan, and the greatly loved UK Pun Championships. Also enjoy comedy films, funny poetry and theatre, photo and comic art exhibitions, and lively children's shows.
