According to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, tourism income surged by 17 per cent to $54.3 billion, with an average spending of $99 per night for overnight visitors.
Building on this success, Türkiye aims to attract 60 million tourists and generate $60 billion in tourism income by 2024. The country plans to achieve this by diversifying its market strategies, maintaining existing markets, and targeting new ones.

In 2022, Türkiye made history by becoming the first country to sign a sustainability agreement with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
