Time To Meet King Momo At The Goa Carnaval

Fret not if you have missed the Goa Food and Cultural festival held in January. Go for the Carnaval in February

BetweenFeb 10 and 13, the sunshine state of India will celebrate the annual Goa Carnaval, a legacy of its Portuguese era. Held in different cities of Goa, the festival includes colourful parades with huge floats, the dances and the Goan traditional music among other things.
While the float parade winds down the street, with the mythical King Momo accompanied by his queen and entourage leading the procession, visitorssome gaily attiredtoo join in the merriment, singing and dancing with passing floats. Of course, be ready to handle the crowd and the traffic jam.
The Float parades will be held in Panjim onFebruary 10, in Margao onFebruary 11, in Vasco onFebruary 12and in Mapusa onFebruary 13.
