The jewel in the crown of Kashmir now has an added charm, making it even more attractive for tourists and locals. The J&ampK Tourism department is now running a 'Musical Fountain and Laser Show' at Dal Lake to make the natural beauty standout. The initiative was taken in April this year and the entry to the show was free for the first 15 days. After a successful run with two shows a day, the Musical Fountain now runs three times for 15 minutes each after 7 pm. The show runs at the back lawns of the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, every day.

The tourism department is also said to be creating more infrastructure at various other tourist places across Jammu and Kashmir as an effort to attract more tourists, as well as make the lives of locals more lively
