India&rsquos domestic aviation sector was supposed to experience a revival in 2021. However, several developments threw a spanner in the works throughout the year&mdashthe second COVID-19 wave, multiple lockdowns and travel restrictions, the skyrocketing prices of crude oil and aviation turbine fuel, and staffing shortages are cases in point. And, just when air traffic in India seemed to be on an upward trajectory, the Omicron variant has once again cast a shadow on the sector.
