Spice Jet flies to Bangladesh

The airline will be flying daily between Kolkata and Dhaka from end-March

India's low-cost airline Spice Jet has now expanded its international network to include Bangladesh with its Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata flight scheduled to begin fromMarch 23. To celebrate the launch of the new route, the airline has also announced an introductory promotional fare of 3,549 (all inclusive) for the Kolkata-Dhaka flight and BDT 4,325 (approx. 3,541) for the Dhaka-Kolkata flight.
According to Spice Jet, the daily flight on this route will help increase the connectivity with Bangladesh from India. Travellers coming for medical and business purposes will benefit from this new flight. The flight will provide convenient onward connections to cities such as Bangkok, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Aizawl and Silchar.
As the flight will be introduced right at theend of the winter schedule, Spice Jet said in a release that between March 23 and 25, the flight SG 71 will depart from Kolkata at 6.10 am to arrive at Dhaka at 730 am. The return flight SG 72 will depart from Dhaka at 815 am to reach Kolkata at 830 am.
With the commencement of the summer schedule from March 26, 2017, the flight SG 71 will depart from Kolkata at 710 am to arrive at Dhaka at 835 am. The return flight SG 72 will depart from Dhaka at 920 am to reach Kolkata at 940 am.
Dhaka is the second international destination after Bangkok that the airline will be serving with a direct daily flight from Kolkata. Dhaka will be the 7th international destination that Spice Jet will be flying to.
