Special Trains For Coldplay Concerts In Mumbai And Ahmedabad Announced

The British rock band is set to perform at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, followed by two shows at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26

Western Railways has introduced special trains to cater to the travel demand for Coldplay's concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The British rock band is set to perform at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, followed by two shows at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26. For those who can't attend in person, the concert will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar on January 26, offering fans worldwide a chance to enjoy the iconic performance from the comfort of their homes.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Special Trains

Two special trains will operate on January 25 and 26 to assist fans travelling between Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the concerts.

  • Mumbai to Ahmedabad: The trains will depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15 AM, reaching Ahmedabad at 2 PM on January 25 and 1 PM on January 26.

  • Ahmedabad to Mumbai: Return journeys will begin at 1:40 AM on January 26 and 12:50 AM on January 27, arriving at Bandra Terminus at 8:40 AM and 8:30 AM, respectively.

These trains will halt at major stations such as Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, and Bharuch, ensuring convenient access for passengers along the route.

Suburban Trains For Navi Mumbai Concerts

For the Navi Mumbai concerts, special Full Tariff Rate (FTR) suburban local trains have been arranged between Goregaon and Nerul stations. These trains will run on January 18, 19, and 21.

  • Departure from Goregaon: Scheduled at 2 PM on January 18 and 19 and at 2:50 PM on January 21. Trains will reach Nerul around 3:23 PM and 6:18 PM, respectively.

  • Return from Nerul: The return trips will leave at 11:04 PM on January 18 and 19 and 10:50 PM on January 21, reaching Goregaon shortly after midnight.

These suburban trains will stop only at Bandra, Andheri, Wadala Road, and Chembur stations, providing a direct and convenient connection for concertgoers.

Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson Visit Shri Babulnath Temple In Mumbai

Meanwhile, Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, and his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, visited the renowned Babulnath Temple in Mumbai before their performance in the city. Martin also whispered in Lord Nandi's ear, a gesture later echoed by Johnson. The video of this moment has since gone viral on social media.
