Singapore Airlines may Soon Have the World's Fully-Vaccinated Crew

52,000 members have already signed up for their shots

Singapore Airlines, the country&rsquos national carrier, is on the road to becoming the first airline to vaccinate its entire staff against COVID-19. 

According to reports, all SIA members, including pilots, gate agents, flight attendants, and anyone whose job requires contact with the public, will receive free Pzifer coronavirus vaccines as a result of an initiative by the country&rsquos government. Around 52,000 members have already signed up for their shots.

Once crew members have been vaccinated, they will not be required to conform to all coronavirus-related measures. Currently, they&rsquore subjected to a test on the seventh day of their return to Singapore. Going forward, they will be exempt from this directive.

Singapore has been successful in mitigating coronavirus cases as a consequence of its border-control measures, and a national contact-tracing application. According to a recent announcement by authorities, all inbound travellers, including Singaporeans and permanent residents, are obligated to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test before entering the country.
