Sikkim is often viewed primarily through the lens of its Buddhist monasteries and spiritual offerings. However, it is also a top destination for nature and adventure tourism, featuring a variety of activities such as forest hikes, mountain biking, paragliding, and more. In a bid to further enhance its adventure tourism appeal, local officials have announced the introduction of bungee jumping at the iconic Singshore Bridge.

Sikkim To Introduce Bungee Jumping

Sikkim Roads and Bridges Minister N.B. Dahal visited the Singshore Bridge on March 21, 2025 to inspect safety measures for the upcoming bungee jumping facility, which will be the first of its kind in Sikkim.

Scheduled to launch during the upcoming rural tourism meet, this activity is set to attract both locals and tourists. The price for this bungee jumping experience in Sikkim, however, has not been revealed yet.

About The Singshore Bridge

The Singshore Bridge, located near Pelling, stands at an elevation of 100 m, stretching 240 m in length. It holds the title of the highest suspension bridge in Sikkim, and was constructed in the early 2000s. Connecting Dentam and Uttarey village, this iron and concrete structure today sees a throng of tourists visiting to marvel at views of the surrounding hills, streams, and waterfalls.

With its stunning views of the surrounding valleys and the exhilarating drop below, bungee jumping at this location promises to be an unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers and an exciting new chapter in Sikkim's adventure tourism narrative.
