Then I stumbled on a row of shops crammed with garishly glittering geegaws. And I found this key-chain ornament a handsome iridescent scarab entombed in Lucite, and resting on a phosphorescent sheet&mdashso he glows in the dark as well. Price 10 Yuan. Now if only I had a beetle instead of a maruti.
