Sharjah Summer Festival Back Again

With the success of the first Sharjah Summer Festival that was held last year, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTA) has decided to launch the latest version of the festival which will take place from 17 July to 17 August 2019. This initiative is an effort to promote Sharjah as a premiere vacation destination for family tourism. The event is being held with an aim to boost shopping, family tourism and hotel sectors so as to make Sharjah an attractive destination locally and globally.

As an incentive, the festival will offer special tourist packages designed specifically for families. The SCTDA has also announced that this initiative is in line with the consistent efforts to attract over 10 million tourists by 2021. In addition to the regular events, the festival this year will feature numerous entertainment events and recreational activities that highlight Sharjah&rsquos culture and heritage. Tourists are in for a variety of surprises, range of discounts and other exclusive offers in hotel bookings. Sharjah Summer Festival will also play host to &ldquoSharjah Fun Fair&rdquo with indoor activities being organized along with other cultural events.

Chairman of SCTDA, H.E Khalid Jasim Al Midfa said that the success of last year&rsquos edition has played a pivotal role in consolidating the emirates&rsquo family tourism offerings which is why this year&rsquos festival has been carefully planned so as to live up to the reputation that they have
earned.
