The less said about the state of waterbodies in Indian metros, the better, but things are swell&mdasheven scenic&mdashwith rivers and lakes at other places. Which is why the Government of India is planning waterfront aerodromes for seaplane and helicopter services at six sites across the country Guwahati, Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, Sabarmati River, Shatrunjaya Dam, the Statue of Unity (Sardar Sarovar Dam) and the Umrangso reservoir. The services will be started under the Udan scheme.
